Elevating young women in the workplace is twofold. There are serious workplace issues impacting young women like equal pay for equal work, paid family & medical leave and pregnancy discrimination that need to be addressed on a policy level and there are professional development skills that young women can learn to help them be more successful in their day-to-day lives.

YWRising gets at both of these areas by encouraging young women to get involved in women’s issues through testifying at the Capitol and staying tuned in to what’s happening in the state by following our blog. We also have a page devoted specifically to professional development that can help enhance certain skills like networking and negotiating pay raises and salaries. Lastly, twice a year we offer events in different parts of the state aimed at teaching young women ages 18-35 how to professionally network.
